2008 Consolidated Financial Statements #040-05-09-05 : Approval of Financial Statements

Prologue: Ms. Michèle George presented the audited 2008 Consolidated Statements as of December 31, 2008 and the report of the Audit Committee. She acknowledged the work of Interim Treasurer Michael Herrera in improving the presentation of the statements to make them more transparent and to bring them into alignment with compliance requirements and the budget.; Ms. George reviewed the financial statements illustrating the changes that had been made. She reported that General Synod was in a healthier financial position than in 2007.

Text of motion: That the Financial Statements of the General Synod of the Anglican Church of Canada Consolidated Trust Fund and the Anglican Church of Canada Resolution Corporation for the fiscal year ended as at December 31, 2008, be approved, as amended by the Audit Committee. CARRIED #06-05-09
