- 1. Today's World - To be referred to the National Executive Council, Public Social Responsibility Unit, House of Bishops, the PWRDF and the Federal and Provincial Governments. (A precis to accompany the presentations to the Governments.)
- 2. A Response - To be referred to the National Executive Council, House of Bishops, Public Social Responsibility Unit, PWRDF, and the Federal and Provincial Governments. (A precis to accompany the presentations to the Governments).
- 3. Human Rights - To be referred to the Public Social Responsibility Unit, Canadian Churchman and Federal and Provincial Governments. (A precis to accompany the presentations to the Governments).

- "That this House pose to the Archbishop of Canterbury the question 'does Resolution #17 have the authority of Lambeth?'; also 'that this House convey to the Archbishop of Canterbury and to the Anglican Consultative Council its concern about the content of Resolution #17." CARRIED

- It was suggested that the persons appointed be required to keep in contact with the House of Bishops in their area and with the Doctrine and Worship Committee.

- Resolution 17: New Dioceses
- The Conference urges that, when a new diocese is created,
- 1. adequate financial support should be underwritten by the member Churches concerned, and/or by the Partners in Mission of the new diocese, to insure against unforeseen financial difficulties;
- 2. adequate provision should be made for the stipend of the bishop, preferably through the creation of an episcopal endowment fund;
- 3. when, owing to unforeseen circumstances, a new diocese is faced with financial problems and deficits, it should be aided financially by the member Church concerned and/or by the Partners in Mission of the new diocese;
- 4. these matters be referred for the consideration of the Anglican Consultative Council at its earliest convenience.
