Membership in the General Synod

Text of motion: That this General Synod direct the Council of the General Synod, which should consult with the dioceses and provinces, to prepare for presentation at the 36th General Synod a new proposal for membership in the General Synod which includes the principle of representation by Anglican population in each diocese.; The mover and seconder agreed to delete the word "should" (after General Synod, which) and replace it with the word "may".; The amended resolution now reads:; That this General Synod direct the Council of the General Synod, which may consult with the dioceses and provinces, to prepare for presentation at the 36th General Synod a new proposal for membership in the General Synod which includes the principle of representation by Anglican population in each diocese.
