Text of motion: That this General Synod in session assembled extends to the Rev. John Antel [sic i.e. Antle] in his retirement from "Active Service" as Skipper, Founder and Superintendent of the Columbia Coast Mission the grateful thanks of the whole Canadian Church, and prays for him at eventide calm sailing and safe anchorage, and furthermore humbly prays for his successor the Rev. Alan Greene a double portion of the same missionary zeal and enterprise in establishing the kingdom of our Lord and Master on Canada's Western Shores. CARRIED in both Houses.
