19. Mission and Ministry

Prologue: Moved by Garnsworthy, seconded by Brown,; 1. That this National Executive Council concur with the holding of a conference in 1975, on the Theological perspectives before the Church.; 2. That this National Executive Council commits itself to a continuing process of Theological renewal following the conference.; Moved by Wright, seconded by Davis,; That this Motion be voted on Seriatim. CARRIED; A ruling was requested as to whether or not this Motion is in order as it involves an expenditure of money that is non-budgetory and has not first gone to the Administration and Finance Committee. (paragraph 21, page 38 - Handbook); The Chair ruled that: If this is considered as voting "in principle", the Motion can be voted on.; It was noted at this time that reference to the Theological Conference was omitted from the November 1973 Minutes.; The mover and seconder agreed to amended their Motion, as follows:

Text of motion: That this National Executive Council concur "in principle" with the holding of a conference in the Autumn of 1975, on the Theological perspectives before the Church. CARRIED
