That, as the Lambeth Conference is called for 1958, the next meeting of the General Synod be held in 1959.

Text of motion

That the Lower House regrets that it cannot concur in this proposal for the following reasons:

1. Such action will result in similar difficulty in the year of the next Lambeth Conference, which comes nine years after 1959.

2. It is desirable that the spirit of Lambeth 1958 should be shared with the Canadian Church at the earliest possible date. CARRIED Message L-39.
