- Preliminary work to do with the construction of the Abitibi Canyon Generating Station, near Fraserdale and about 70 miles north of Cochrane. Various phases of this project were completed 1933-1936. Photo shows timber has been cleared away from riverbanks and a railway construction camp (branch of the Temiskaming and Northern Ontario Railway, today's ONR) appears at bottom of photo.
