Scope and Content

Photo consists of Elizabeth Watson and Joan Lee posing in front of a portrait of Francis Fulford, the first Bishop of Montreal, 1850-1868. The women were from the parish of Nelsonville and were sent as delegate observers to the 1965 synod in anticipation of women in the diocese of Montreal having membership on equal terms with laymen beginning the following year.
