Recognizing that the report prepared in 1948 was most inadequate and that a fuller report, which would present the situation in Canada in the light of the world-wide survey, would be welcomed, the Canadian Council of Churches has published this booklet. Its Commission on the Life and Work of the Women in the Church has itself been keenly interested in the preparation of this material, and would recommend that, where possible, the booklet be read and discussed by men and women representing several communions. ....
