Notes
A letter to the editor in which the Primate of the Anglican Church of the Southern Cone of America praises the statement made by Bishop David Lunn of Sheffield in the Church Times article "Women priests ? I'd resign, says bishop" of 30 November 1990, p. 1 in which Bishop Lunn writes against the ordination of women.
Bishop Bazley says "It was the most enlightened expression of sanctified and common sense on the subject that I have seen reported in your newspaper during the last few years. .... From this end of the world it is hard to understand why the Church in the Northern Hemisphere will insist on destroying itself, when it has the most wonderful message of salvation and fullness of life in Christ to proclaim".
