- Notes
- "The national consultation of Towards a Whole People met in Edmonton this summer [1990]. The four day consultation included 70 people from 21 Canadian dioceses meeting to pray, discuss, share their experiences and plan for the future. The group included the primate [Michael Peers], 20 clergy and 50 lay people from across the country -- a national group truly representing the whole people of God. The theme for the third national consultation since 1985, -- `The release of the captives', -- focused on the concept of mutual ministry -- how each has a place in the ministry of the church as represented in the baptismal promise."
