- Notes
- "All Mothers and Children Count" issue.
- "All Mothers and Children Count is in year two of a four-year program funded with six-to-one match by Global Affairs Canada".
- "VHW was established on Christmas Day 2005 by Dr. Deogratias Niyizonkiza, a Burundian raised and educated in the United States. VHW's holistic approach to community health includes nutrition, small-scale agriculture, women's empowerment and education. Community health days are celebrated with dancing and drumming and families flock from far and wide so their children's development can be properly tracked. It is now a model for health care for the rest of the country". [Text of entire article.]
