Letter to the editor : Pile of irrelevance

Notes: "Thanks to bishop Mark MacDonald for putting in print questions that are so important for our church to face ('What will they say ?', Jan. 2012, p. 4). I too have wondered how future generations will look back at us and I shudder to think how we will be judged. Every time the church behaves like an ostrich in ducking the social, political, economic and environmental injustices of our times, we are not just burying our collective head in the sand, we are hastening our complete burial under a deepening pile of irrelevance".
