- Notes
- "In 2015, German toymaker Playmobil launched a new figurine in advance of the [Reformation] anniversary year: a 7.5 cm. Martin Luther, wearing a scholar's gown and holding a German Bible in one hand and a quill in the other. 'Little Luther' turned out to be an enormous hit for Playmobil; soon after its release, the figurine became the company's fastest-selling toy ever; Playmobil shipped its millionth copy in June [2017]". "Among Little Luther owners are the Rev. Dawn Leger, an Anglican priest who serves as pastor at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Toronto; and the Rev. Mark Kalvaitis, pastor at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Richmond Hill, Ont., both of whom were in Wittenberg, Germany, this summer to take part in the Reformation commemoration".
