- "Re: 'When coffee hours gets complicated' (May 2016, p. 6). As Christians we are called to serve our beloved Christ through others. Sometimes this means submitting to the will of the community in total forgetfulness of self so that we can be a witness of Christ's love to others. The decision of other members of your 'coffee hour' rota to put boundaries on what may be served may not have been one you liked, or with which you agreed. However, for the sake of love and charity, we are called to put aside self, to love others and to serve, regardless of how we feel. These are the ways that make for peace; peace in community and peace within our own hearts, which can only lead to inclusion, not marginalization". [Text of entire article.]
