- "The quote comes from a graduate criminology student -- and active church-goer -- who had just discovered the existence of the Church Council of Justice and Corrections (CCJC). Many Anglicans could probably join her in her confusion, despite the fact that the Anglican Church has been involved with the ecumenical Council for most of its 20-year history. CCJC is active in a variety of educational and advocacy projects. One of them, called 'The Fire in the Rose', provides resources to help congregations address issues of violence in their communities. For more information, or to receive a free copy of the Council's newsletter, 'Update/A jour', contact Rick Prashaw, Communications Coordinator, CCJC, 507 Bank Street, Ottawa ON K2P 1Z5; telephone 613-563-1688".
