- Notes
- "Doris Leland states that the Holy Family is the role model for Christian families (Letters, 'Holy family the model', Feb. 2013, p. 3). I am devoted to the Blessed Virgin Mary, but I don't think she's a very good role model for women. Most of us are not able to be virgin mothers even if we wanted to. I believe a lot of the problems with women's role and treatment in the church and family stem from having Mary, the perpetual virgin,, as a role model". "A good role model for a Christian family, in my opinion, is any family with loving, sensible parents (regardless of gender) who spend time with each other and with their kids, incarnating the love of God".
