Letter to the editor: Expected better

Notes: "I was disappointed to read your headline about Gary Paterson's election as moderator of the United Church of Canada ['United Church elects gay leader', Oct. 2012, p. 1]. Aren't we past that kind of identification ? If someone else had been elected, would the title have read, 'United Church elects straight leader ?'. .... I know that this is how the mainstream media referred to him when he was elected; I expected better from the 'Anglican Journal'."
