- "Kairos, a Canadian ecumenical social justice organization, has urged the federal, provincial and territorial governments to adopt 'moral and ethical values' in their responses to the deepening global economic crisis." Archbishop Fred Hiltz, Primate of the Anglican Church of Canada, was one of the signatories to a letter sent to Canada's first ministers by Kairos. "Mary Corkery, Kairos executive director, said, 'Economic packages that do not take into account moral imperatives will lead [to] the same pattern of unsustainable consumption that brought us into crisis in the first place'."
