- Notes
- Author is a priest from Combermere, in the diocese of Ottawa, who is working as a Volunteer in Mission in Uganda. "In January 2006, she began her placement at Central Buganda University, in the diocese of Central Buganda, Uganda. Carolyn teaches courses in the faculties of theology and agriculture". "When I see the scratching for pennies that this church experiences and look at the massive funding the evangelical churches receive from overseas it is no wonder people are moving over in droves .... The grinding poverty of the churches here is a daily challenge. Even our own Canadian Anglican mission department is reorganizing once again for lack of funds. Why can we not better support our more challenged sister churches ? Why can we not give our tithes so that God's work can go on more fully in our own and other communities ?"
