- The author describes his experience of the Michaelangelo show which has just opened at the British Museum in time for Lent and Passiontide. In addition to the Michaelangelo show, "the British Museum offers yet another chance for Lenten encounter, yes in a museum. At the main entrance a small, quiet and sombre space housing the famous Rembrandt crucifixion drawings stands complete with the Gospel account of Good Friday blazoned on the walls in huge print. One had not choice but to pray. Thank you British Museum. Art and music last and are reborn and appreciated. They share the sacred trust of the church, and often do it better for some. Our churches and cathedrals can learn from their own art treasures how to better share the faith that inspired the Michaelangelos of the world".
