- Notes
- "Episcopal Relief and Development [part of the Episcopal Church U.S.A.] is helping people after the onslaught of deadly typhoons in the northeastern Philippines. It is estimated that over a thousand people have been killed and tens of thousands are homeless due to massive flooding and mudslides. There is an additional threat that water bourne diseases such as dysentery will threaten already devastated communities." "In partnership with the Episcopal Church of the Philippines, ERD [Episcopal Relief and Development] is providing humanitarian support to devastated communities in remote communities in the country. Emergency relief will provide food, seeds and other critical supplies as communities and volunteers clear up roads, repair churches and community centers, and rebuild homes".
