- A personal reflection by Phoebe Griswold, wife of the Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church, on her experience of Mary. "What Mary taught me is that she desires to build devotion and a mutual companionship through the very stuff of our own lives, that she values loving relationships, and, above all, that she calls us to relationship with her son, Jesus Christ. She herself is A bridge over which we cross, making friends among a broad spectrum of people. We can find meaning for our own lives by listening to her unique voice, not as defined by dogma but as spoken clearly to each one of us. She can become a companion in the reality we live. As an Anglican, I see her particularly relevant as a bridge into the future of our Communion."
