Letter to the editor : Hats off to Miss Hasell

Notes: The author offers his memories of being enrolled, as a child, in the Sunday School by Post program and the "extra benefit" of an annual visit from the "Caravan Girls" who brought friendship, good humour, second hand books, Christmas cards and often a small gift. "Looking back, I marvel at the courage and devotion of these young women, driving their vans for miles over the graded dirt roads, searching out isolated farm homes and having to face being immobilized in mud it it rained, or doing their own repairs if the vans broke down".
