- Notes
- Author describes his plane trip home from the inauguration of the new Anglican province of the Central Region of America and his meeting with a Jewish woman, born in Poland, who now lives in Costa Rica. Pearl had the number 32342 tattooed on her arm at Auschwitz. Author meditates on our tendency to scapegoat and victimize people different from ourselves. Ends with the prayer that the upcoming Lambeth which brings people together from many lands and cultures will not be a time for scapegoating but for "a once-a-decade chance" to listen to each other and speak to a listening world.
