- Notes
- "Sir: For a Catholic scientist, the joy of reading Pope John Paul II's magnificent encyclical 'Evangelium Vitae', is somewhat tempered by a basic misunderstanding in the text about the role of the human genome in defining individual human life. The misunderstanding does not invalidate the message of the encyclical, but may have unfortunate consequences in other respects."
