Letter from a retired Episcopal priest, in response to Bishop David Crawley (December 1991) urging the use of "Father Harry" and "Mother Betty". "The use of 'Father' or 'Mother' together with the Christian name recognizes them as a member of the parish family and thus is a family title, not a personal one".
