Minority Representation on Councils and Committees #044-07-02-05

Text of motion: That this Council of General Synod encourage applications from members of under-represented minority groups and endeavour to fill vacancies in councils and committees from them.; Friendly amendment; The mover and seconder agreed to change "applications from" to "nomination of". The resolution now reads:; That this Council of General Synod encourage nominations of members of under-represented minority groups and endeavour to fill vacancies in councils and committees from the. CARRIED #36-05-02

Notes: Council suggested that when letters inviting nominations are sent from the General Secretary, a sentence be added with a reminder that we are looking for under-represented groups.
