- The Reverend Tim and Mrs. Betty Sharpe and Mr. Alan Gault and Mrs. Margaret Gault were introduced and invited to address the House.
- The guests gave testimony both as individuals and as couples to the profound changes in their own marriages through Marriage Encounter. They see it as a means of experiencing the love of God at work in the marriage relationship.
- The bishops were asked to extend their full and loving support of the Marriage Encounter method, and asked to appoint a bishop and spouse to be a liaison between the House of Bishops and the National Marriage Encounter Movement.

- That this House of Bishops approve in principle the recommendation of the National Marriage Encounter for a link person to serve as a liaison between the House of Bishops and the National Marriage Encounter.
