Text of motion: That this Council of General Synod adjourn and convene as the Board of Management of the Missionary Society of the Church in Canada. CARRIED #34-11-97

Notes: MISSIONARY SOCIETY OF THE CHURCH IN CANADA; Sale of Shaw House; Dr. Eleanor Johnson advised that Shaw House had been sold and the net proceeds totalled $355,750.; Financial Statements 1996; Moved by: Bishop A. Hutchison; Seconded by: Captain B. Park; That the financial statements for 1996 be approved. CARRIED; Appointment of Auditors 1997; Moved by: Hon R. Stevenson; Seconded by: Archdeacon D. Ashdown; That Ernst and Young be appointed as auditors for 1997. CARRIED; Adjournment of MSCC; Moved by: Mrs. D. Brookes; Seconded by: Ms. D. Sibley; That the Board of Management of the Missionary Society of the Church in Canada adjourn and reconvene as the Council of General Synod. CARRIED
