That this NEC thank the members of the Sub-Committee on Marriage and Related Matters for their work;

That future programmatic elements of this work be referred to the Program Committee; and

That doctrinal and canonical matters be referred to the Doctrine and Worship Committee. CARRIED #64-05-90

Notes

Archbishop Reg Hollis described the action of the House of Bishops in the area of Marriage and Related Matters. The aim of the Bishops has been to assist clergy in their ministry to people who are living together `in' and `outside' marriage, as well as `same gender' relationships.
