- Rev. Michael J. Lloyd, manager of the Anglican diocesan book room in Montreal for the past three years, has been appointed manager of the Anglican Book Centre at the church's national offices here.
- Mr. Lloyd, 33, has accepted the new position effective May 1. He will be responsible for the Book Centre's wholesale, retail and mail order operations which now employs 36 persons.
- A native of England, Mr. Lloyd graduated from Leeds University in 1956 and came to Canada the following year to join the firm of Peat, Marwick & Mitchell, Chartered Accountants. He was admitted to the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Quebec in 1960.
- The same year he entered Diocesan Theological College in Montreal and graduated three years later with a bachelor and divinity degree from McGill University.
- He served as assistant priest in the parish of St. Paul's, Lachine, from 1963-65. He was then appointed manager of the diocesan book room and assistant at Christ Church Cathedral, Montreal.
- Mr. Lloyd is married.
- Rev. P.A.H. Meggs, director of the church's division of communications, said Mr. Lloyd brings with him a very good business background and reputation from one of Canada's outstanding book centres.
