[Letter to Mrs. W.T. Hallam]

Text of motion: That a letter be dispatched, along the following lines, to Mrs. W.T. Hallam, the widow of the late Bishop Hallam - "We in General Synod rejoice with you in the fact that the devoted labours of your late husband, in regard to the revision of the Prayer Book, were brought to fruition when the revised edition was adopted by the Synod at this session. We shall ever cherish a lively recollection of his many outstanding virtues and of his devotion to the work of the Church along so many lines. His presence always brought a spiritual uplift to any gathering which he attended and we shall always be mindful of the great contribution he made in connection with Prayer Book revision, in the preparation of which he did such outstanding work. CARRIED by standing vote.
