- That assent to the Thirty-Nine Articles in their present form be no longer required of candidates for Holy Orders or clergy about to be licensed but that the Articles for our belief as expressed in the Service of Holy Baptism be sufficient for this purpose.

- That we concur in Message U-8, but draw the attention of the Upper House to the statement in the Solemn Declaration of Principles (see page 14 of the Handbook) whereby it is affirmed that we are to maintain the Thirty-Nine Articles of Religion and "to transmit the same unimpaired to our posterity." CARRIED Message L-47.
- Message U-17
- In regard to our message U-8 and this message of the Lower House, L-47, this Upper House would advise the Lower House that our consideration of this matter was not concluded, and in view of this and and of Section 7, subsection 2(h) of the Declaration of Principles, we desire that our earlier message U-8 and the action of the Lower House in respect to it be rescinded, and that the subject be left open for further consideration.
