The National Executive Council of the Anglican Church of Canada will meet from March 19th to March 21st at the Queen of Apostles Renewal Centre in Mississauga.
The Council, the highest national policy group in the Anglican Church between General Synods, meets twice a year. Its meetings are open to the media, although NEC reserves the right to hold, when it feels necessary, some sessions in-camera.
At this particular meeting the NEC will receive many of the reports which are to go on to presentation to the Church's General Synod in June of this year. Capital Punishment; the report of the Task Force on Marriage and Related Matters including a study on non-marital co-habitation; a statement on Human Rights; possible expansion of the Church's French-English Project; Native Affairs and the continuing work of the Task Force on Human Life are some of the subjects to be discussed.
