- The National Executive Council of the Anglican Church of Canada will meet from March 19th to March 21st at the Queen of Apostles Renewal Centre in Mississauga.
- The Council, the highest national policy group in the Anglican Church between General Synods, meets twice a year. Its meetings are open to the media, although NEC reserves the right to hold, when it feels necessary, some sessions in-camera.
- At this particular meeting the NEC will receive many of the reports which are to go on to presentation to the Church's General Synod in June of this year. Capital Punishment; the report of the Task Force on Marriage and Related Matters including a study on non-marital co-habitation; a statement on Human Rights; possible expansion of the Church's French-English Project; Native Affairs and the continuing work of the Task Force on Human Life are some of the subjects to be discussed.
