Metropolitans' Report

Prologue: Archbishop Peers reported on the meetings of the Metropolitans which were held January 9th and February 6th.; 1. Transfer of Membership - Archbishop Peers reminded the House of its request in June 1983 for additional information on the ECUSA system of transfer of membership and noted that copies of the "Letter of Transfer" and "Acceptance of the Letter of Transfer" were sent to all Bishops. It was agreed that such a procedure encourages people to become more responsible members. It was asked, "What does `in good standing mean ?"

Text of motion: That this matter be referred to the National Executive Council and the Organization Committee for study, with report back to the House of Bishops. CARRIED #12-2-84
