- Prologue
- The General Secretary reported on the work done at the first meeting (October 1993) by the NEC/House of Bishops Joint Task Force on Homosexuality. The Reverend Helena Houldcroft from the Diocese of Qu'Appelle was appointed as chair to the Task Force by the Primate. The House of Bishops' representatives are Bishop Asbil, Bishop Cruickshank and Bishop Mason. The Task Force is working on producing a Study Guide in [the] beginning of 1994 (for distribution in the third or fourth quarter of that year).
- Archdeacon Boyles reviewed the purpose of the study as mandated by General Synod. The bishops offered support to the Task Force in its proposed motion for the NEC "that the NEC approve a change in the time table for the Homosexuality Study to enable testing of the Study Guide in early 1994, and distribution to parishes/dioceses for study during the Fall."
- Ms. Susan Graham-Walker and Ms. Janet Marshall-Eibner have been hired (on contract) to research and write the Study Guide.
- Questions and concerns were raised.
- Text of motion
- That this House of Bishops commend to the National Executive Council approval of the proposal to postpone the timeline of the Study Guide. CARRIED
