NEC/ECUSA Partnership Evaluation

Text of motion: That NEC receive the Partnership Evaluation report with appreciation, endorse the following recommendations and undertake to review the partnership within three years:; 1. That the partnership continue between ECUSA's Executive Council and the Anglican Church of Canada's NEC, where one staff person and one volunteer from each church's Executive Council are appointed to attend the Executive Council's meetings of both church communities.; 2. That within the framework of meeting agendas, NEC ensure there be established a means of exchanging information and reflections that will build upon and give expression to the Principles of Partnership set forth in the Anglican Consultative Council's report, and through this discover how this might go beyond NEC itself. This may entail developing some guidelines to help all involved move beyond the experience of simply giving and hearing another report.; 3. That NEC act more intentionally to improve its hospitality, welcoming its partners, not just as conveyors of information, but as bearers of the rich tapestry of its partner church's life and struggle, and as individuals who share life's journey with it.
