- That the Long Range Planning Committee be requested to produce a study guide to be used by the parishes and dioceses in conjunction with Dr. Bibby's book [Fragmented Gods : the poverty and potential of religion in Canada]. CARRIED #30-10-87

- Questions were raised about previous Long Range Planning initiatives; i.e. congregational growth, evangelism. It was explained that Long Range Planning identifies issues and if there are program implications the responsibility is turned over to the Program Committee. The Long Range Planing Committee is always interested to know what the House of Bishops, members of the National Executive Council and others think about these issues.
