- A young theologian student from the Diocese of Ottawa spent several months this summer in the Middle East. He is concerned about the plight of Christians in the West Bank, Golan Heights and Gaza Strip areas and also about the human rights violations which are occurring. Bishop Lackey had received a lot of background information and felt that the House should not turn its back on this.

- That the Primate, in consultation with the Bishop of Jerusalem, explore the ways in which the House can become involved and take appropriate action to support our Christian brothers in these areas. CARRIED

- It was noted that Canon Na'im Ateek from Palestine would be in Canada in the near future and may be able to assist in this regard.
