Lambeth Resolutions - #71 Lambeth Call to Prayer - General Synod Archives

Text of motion: We affirm the Lambeth 1988 Call to Prayer and request the Sisters of St. John the Divine to prepare practical suggestions for implementation of the Call to Prayer for use in all Dioceses, and that a report be made to the House of Bishops' meeting in October 1989.; (It is suggested that consideration be given for the prayers to be intentional; that prayers be offered at the beginning and the end of all meetings; that a bulletin could be developed; that parishes be encouraged to develop an incarnational spirituality; that there be clergy retreats, family prayers, use of the Anglican Cycle of Prayer, and daily meditations.) CARRIED
