Marital Status

Prologue: Chancellor Ryan affirmed that the Table of Kindred and Affinity as set out in Canon XXI is faithful to the existing laws of the land. However, the federal government is now suggesting some amendments and the Sub-Committee on Marriage and Related Matters has been asked to give its consideration to the matter.; Members of the National Executive Council were asked to contact the Rev. Tom Kingston if they wished to express and opinion for consideration by the Sub-Committee.

Text of motion: That this National Executive Council express concern about the short notice given for consideration of Bill S-13 and request a delay of three months, in the finalizing of the Bill. CARRIED
