- The Deputy Prolocutor presented the following address which was adopted by the Synod standing:
- "At this 25th Session of the General Synod of the Anglican Church of Canada meeting in Niagara Falls on January 25, 1971, under the Presidency of our Acting Primate, we the Archbishops, Bishops, Clergy and Laity here assembled send to your Majesty our deep and abiding loyalty and affection. We mark with gratitude your recent visit to Canada and in particular the presence of Your Majesty and Their Royal Highnesses the Prince Philip, the Prince of Wales and the Princess Anne at divine service in St. Simon's, Apex Hill, Frobisher Bay in the Diocese of the Arctic. We pray that your Majesty may long reign as the Queen of Canada and we in this General Synod assembled join with our fellow Canadians in gratitude to Almighty God for the Blessings of your Christian leadership and the maintenance of those personal and family virtues which are a particular inspiration to all families in these difficult days. In presenting our humble duty to your Majesty we pray that our heavenly Father may continue to enrich our most gracious Sovereign Lady with the grace of his Holy Spirit.
