- Prologue
- Immediately following the Eucharist, the Prolocutor welcomed the Lieutenant-Governor of Saskatchewan, the Honourable Stephen Worobetz, and requested that he transmit the following message of loyalty to Her Majesty, the Queen.
- Text of motion
- "Your Honour, on behalf of the Archbishop, Bishops, Clergy and Laity assembled in this 26th Session of the General Synod of the Anglican Church of Canada, I would respectfully ask that you convey to Her Majesty, Elizabeth II, Queen of Canada, our loyalty and affection. We rejoice with all Canadians in her visits to several parts of Canada this year, as significant anniversaries in our history are commemorated. We would request you, Sir, to assure Her Majesty of our great pride and pleasure at her presence with us. In all our churches, large and small, prayers for God's blessings for her and the members of her family are regularly voiced. We trust that it will continue to be God's will that our Queen be replenished with the grace of His Holy Spirit and that under her those who are set in authority over us may be enabled to secure peace, justice and Christian love for all our fellow Canadians. May God save the Queen."
