- The London Society for Promoting Christianity Amongst the Jews, a Church of England Society, commenced its operations in 1809. The Church of England in Canada began it's work among the Jews by raising funds for the London Society with Good Friday Appeals. Soon diocesan associations were established and then a Canadian Auxiliary to the London Society. The Diocese of Toronto was the first to appoint an organising secretary in 1882, the Rev. Johnstone Vicars. He established the Toronto Diocesan Association of the London Society and laid the foundations of the Canadian Auxiliary.

- Fonds consists of reports, articles and pamphlets outlining the work and aims of the London Society for Promoting Christianity amongst the Jews in England, Canada and around the world.
