Notes
A collection of stories compiled from interviews conducted during the Larnaca consultation "Called to be Neighbours - Diakonia 2000". (See also official consultation report "Diakonia 2000: Called to be Neighbours".)
The purpose of the consultation was to take stock of the global situation in the late 1980's, to review the actual response in terms of service of the churches today and project some possible future responses -- and on this basis to re-define the role of the World Council of Churches and especially its Commission on Inter-Church Aid, Refugee and World Service (CICARWS) in a new vision and involvement.
Cartoons by Claudius Ceccon.
