- Notes
- "This book is an assessment of the 1988 Lambeth Conference in terms of its significance for bishops from the Two Thirds World". "I found this book raised many interesting issues, even though I did not feel it was particularly well written, and too often it simply chronicles a series of different viewpoints without evaluating the differences and similarities between them in any depth. The debate about women's ordination is handled with undue brevity, but perhaps reflects the fact that it was not a major issue for Two Thirds World bishops (though the authors surprisingly fail to note that women have been ordained in Uganda). The book is important because it chronicles a major ongoing influence in the Anglican Communion."
