Letter to the editor : Many good female candidates for next AoC -- but gender should not be determining factor

There are many accomplished female clerics, including serving bishops, throughout the Anglican Communion, although one imagines that the Crown Nominations Commission will focus mainly on candidates from within the English church. Given the challenges facing the church, both in the U.K. and worldwide, any new appointment to Canterbury must be the most qualified candidate available.
