- Notes
- "I was disheartened by the content and tone of the piece regarding Canon David Harrison. When I was 15, I was a victim of exploitation. I had the courage to tell the police and the perpetrator was found guilty. I am sharing this so it is understood I am concerned that criminals face justice and the Church holds them accountable. Where are the reports in the Journal of those who are found guilty of crimes against the vulnerable ? If you need stories, look under the rug they’ve been swept under and don’t use this innocent mistake as an attempt to make it look like we have transparency. I feel an apology in the Journal would be an appropriate next step, not only for David but also for the readers and for actual victims because this article belittles our experiences".
