- Notes
- General Secretary Alan Perry looks to the upcoming June 2023 meeting of General Synod. "After a year-long delay due to the pandemic, we look forward to our Assembly with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada this summer in Calgary. General Synod will occur within the context of the Assembly, with the theme 'Let there be greening'. Together we will celebrate and grow our Full Communion relationship, now well into its third decade. We will ncounter the breadth of our church in its diversity from coast to coast to coast, adopt resolutions, elect committee members and officers and set the course for the years ahead. We will begin a “biennium”, with only two years rather than the usual three before our next General Synod meeting in 2025".
